FOCUS..... It's Changed!

When I did the 12WBT last year I was mainly focused on the eating side of my health and the training was there but not at the top of my priority list. This year is different, I am doing the 12WBT to reach a fitness goal this time and that is to be able to run 10km and beyond.... fitness and training is my focus and so far I am WINNING!!

It's not even a week in, but I am going to take a win when I can get it and give myself the praise I feel I deserve. It was only just over 12 months ago that I was in a bad way with my health and my frame of mind and if I didn't do anything about it back then I would hate to think where I would be now.

What I know is that back 12 months ago I was not happy with myself, not only with the way I looked but who I was. I didn't want to do anything and didn't want to get involved, I would go to work sit at a desk all day and come home and sit in front of the TV. I was stuck in a rut!

I can't really pin point exactly what it was that made me change my thinking. There had been a few other things I had tried before 12WBT but they were the lazy things like the all protein diet (horrible, and only lasted a week), but 12WBT worked for me and well now I am 10kg lighter (I did put on a couple of KGs over the summer parties) and I have a new focus...... A Fit and Healthy Life!

Yep, WINNING!!!

Gotta Love A New Pair Of Shoes....

Today I bought new runners!

So I went to try them out at the gym and I had the best session. I ran 3km straight in 19min. This, for me, is fantastic and I am so proud of myself.

I have found a new determination and energy in myself this week. This week is week one on 12WBT (12 Week Body Transformation) and I have dropped 2kg and have easily stepped back into my healthy eating habits.

Loving Life!!!

Work day is done and now it's time for some fun!

I'm off to play on silks and hoops tonight. I love Tuesdays, it is the night that I go to practice Aerials... It is so much fun! I have been doing it for around a year now and while I don't see me putting on a PINK style show anytime soon, it is fantastic for building strength. It is only an hour class and it goes so fast but I feel great at the end of it.

Catch you later! :)

Coconutty Goodness

This is one of my favourite things to have at the moment. I usually have the berries frozen and sometimes add some protein powder, depending on what I've already eaten or planing to eat for the day, and I mix up the fruit depending what is in the fridge.

I just blitz it all together with a stick blender..... and Yummo. I love the Kiwi fruit in there as it gives it a great texture and the banana gives it a creaminess. Even my boyfriend who doesn't like Coconut water likes it. It is a great tasting, low calorie, shake and awesome if you are on the run :)

21 Days To Go!

I am looking forward to getting stuck into the next round of 12WBT (12 Week Body Transformation). For me, I have already started with the mindset of the healthy lifestyle, but only just.

This past weekend I over indulged, there was waaay too much bad food (but sooo yummy) and too much booze! I have to admit it was a fun weekend but not a good day yesterday when I felt the effects of what I had just done to my body. I was sick!

So today I have woken up and I am determined and motivated to leave the over indulging behind. Summer is over, we are now in autumn, time to shed a few kgs, build some muscle and focus on my new healthy lifestyle.

This season of 12WBT I am putting myself out there, making myself accountable and sharing my journey, I am excited to see how far I can push myself and what I can achieve.

Time starts now!

This is it!

So last year I did 2 rounds of Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation (12WBT) and lost around 12kg. It was extra weight I had gained from going from a retail job to a desk job and rather than decreasing my calorie intake I probably increased it.

After completing 2 rounds I kept the weight mostly off, in fact I dropped a little more and built up my fitness, but then the end of the 2013 came around and there was Summer, Christmas and New Years and over indulging and parties. It was a great summer and I had loads of fun with friends and family but I've stacked on around 5kg so this is it I'm about to show what I'm made of, I have signed up for 12WBT round 1 for 2014 and I am doing the 10km run program.

My first goal is to just do 10km in one go. I have only just learnt to run as I have suffered with anxiety and before doing the learn to run program with 12WBT I couldn't run for more then a few metres without freaking out. I am very proud that I have been able to overcome this and hope that by the end of the year I will be able to compete in a 10km fun run.

Overall my reasons for joining Michelle again is to get me fit and in my peak, I am now in my 30s (31 this year) and I know that in order for me to have a long and happy life I need to be fit and also it helps my confidence when I look and feel good ;) .

Time to show you (and me) - This Is What I'm Made Of!!
